Four LED touch faders – controllable by dragging your finger up and down the strip – and four banks give you control over up to sixteen parameters. Four banks are also available for the eight backlit and pressure-sensitive MPC pads, providing you with a total of 32 assignable pads, including MPC Swing and Note Repeat functionality.
Control via USB, MIDI and CV
At the rear of the MAX25, you’ll find a USB/MIDI port, as well as a traditional 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output. More unique are the 1/4-inch CV and 1/4-inch Gate outputs, which enable you to operate your vintage, analogue synths using the controller or your DAW. The Akai MAX25 is also equipped with standard transport buttons, a backlit LCD display, rubber pitch and modulation wheels, a built-in arpeggiator and four time division controls, plus a built-in step sequencer that allows for a detailed build up of tracks.
