General
The Avid Pro Tools Eleven Rack is a great recording and guitar effect device. This 19-inch machine allows guitarists to use high-quality virtual guitar effects, amplifiers and cabinets in the studio or on stage. Theeffects unit works seamlessly with the included DAW software: the full version of Pro Tools.
Eleven Rack: guitar effects
What sets the Eleven Rack apart from other modelling devices is its True-Z circuit. With it, Avid Pro Tools emulated the electronic impedance of the input of an amplifier and cabinet so that the incoming signal of your instrument is processed in an analogue way. It makes the Eleven Rack feel and sound like true hardware. Naturally, you can adjust the True-Z circuit’s impedance to personalise the sound. The Eleven Rack contains amazing, realistic emulations of classic guitar amplifiers inspired by Fender, Vox, Marshall, Soldano and Mesa Boogie, as well as stomp box effects inspired by MXR, Electro Harmonix, Ibanez, ProCo and Univox. These sounds are modelled by measuring each component of the original devices, from input to output, so that every aspect of the sound is recorded. The effect and amplifier settings can be used directly from the Eleven, without using a computer or software. This means that the Eleven is at home in the studio, rehearsalroom and on stage.
Interface and Pro Tools
The Eleven Rack isn’t just a 19-inch guitar effect processor, it is also a 24-bit/96kHz audio interface fitted with balanced XLR inputs and outputs, guitar and an excellent microphone preamp with 48V phantom power. As the cherry on top, the Eleven rack comes with an Activation Card for a one-year license for the latest version of Pro Tools. This DAW software packagehas been the industry standard for audio editing for years. In recent years, many new functions have been added, allowing for virtually endless possibilities.
