Description
General
With an ECC81 (12AT7) at the core, the Baroni Lab AFK150 hybrid amplifier carves out 150 Watts of harmonically rich and dynamic guitar sound and comes wrapped in a neat housing – elegantly finished with wooden side panels. Easily flip between two channels via the footswitch mounted on the left to gain the clean yet warm output of an American-style amp on the first channel, or the British-style grit and drive that we all know and love from the Gurus Doubledecker mkII preamp pedal on the second channel.
The Baroni Lab AFK150: Studio Sound on a Pedalboard
The stable design of this hybrid amp means it can be placed on top of your speaker cabinet or even on a desk, and an external latching footswitch can be plugged in to toggle the channels. Of course, if you’d prefer to set up the AFK150 to serve as an amplifier pedal, you can easily remove the two side panels and mount it onto a pedalboard to make the channel switch easier to reach. Wherever it’s set up, the control panel of this high-spec pedal supplies a full bank of dedicated pots per channel, so you can shape and mould the output via the volume, gain, and a custom three-band EQ section.
