General
Since it comes stamped with the Beetronics name and adorned with sweet, steampunk-style graphics, you already know that this is no ordinary chorus pedal. Meet the intrepid Beetronics Seabee: a seafaring multi-chorus that harnesses an analogue bucket-brigade signal path and digitally controlled delay. This pedal is a big mouthful of variable effects, including three traditional chorus modes and three entirely fresh harmonic modes. In other words, the Seabee combines chorus with pitch-shifting modulation to conjure something completely new. Every pedal has been hand-built in Los Angeles, USA.
The Beetronics Seabee Harmochorus: Uncharted Waters
So, while the three classic chorus modes and Speed and Depth control pots kit you out with everything you’d expect from a high-grade chorus pedal, as soon as you engage any one of the Harmochorus modes, you’re sailing into uncharted waters. Here, you can’t just toggle between different speeds and pitches, but twelve different arpeggio patterns and twelve different harmonies. Somehow, just three control pots and three switches are all you need to scroll through the range of options – keeping things simple and clean as you effortlessly swing from subtle and wave-like to some extreme ring-modulation.
