General
Serving up a modernised take on the classic 1966 MKII Tone Bender Fuzz, this Compact Series pedal from the venerable British Pedal Company brings all the sixties fuzz you could ever want – just in a more board-friendly housing. The original pedal was built by none-other-than Gary Hurst, and since this slimmed down reincarnation features a set of three authentically configured OC81D transistors, this hardwire, true-bypass pedal delivers that same sweet and round sustain but boasts fuller and slightly less aggressive sound than the MKI, and the bass range is nowhere near as overwhelming as the MKI.5. This makes the extra-special BPC fuzz an outstanding partner for both single-coils and humbuckers. To get the very best out of it, simply hook it up to its own isolated power supply or a 9V output of a multi-power supply brick.
Tips or comments about this product
Please note: All pedals included in the BPC Compact Series require their own isolated 9V power supply. This is because of the grounding of the PNP transistors, which cannot be daisy-chained.
A power supply does not come included with this pedal.
