The Crazy Tube Circuits Crossfire has been designed to mash up the 6L6GC-induced sound of a classic Blackface amp with the mid-rich sounds of a certain well-known green drive pedal. This dual-channel overdrive preamp in stompbox-form also serves up two clipping modes (symmetrical/asymmetrical) so you’re basically free to determine what the mid-range looks like amid the clear trebles and brutal basses.

The Crossfire: Custom Blackface-Style Sound Plus Mid-Heavy Overdrive

The overdrive effect comes with a set of standard-issue controls and a drive-boost switch, while the amp section of this Crazy Tube Circuits offering has been outfitted with gain and volume pots plus a 3-band equaliser for more in-depth tweaks. As if that wasn’t enough, the Crossfire also sets you up with a high/low boost switch and a bass boost switch, while your favourite guitar pedals can be connected to the built-in mono effects loop.
