General
Having trapped the sound of two rare overdrive species in one box, the Crazy Tube Circuits Unobtanium dual pedal slaps the literally unobtainable output of both a Klon and a Dumble on your board in one neat shot. This dual overdrive supplies two channels that can be independently triggered or stacked in series, while the passive FX loop means your pedals can be slotted between the two sections. Plug it in using a standard 9V power supply and the internal circuit doubles the power to 18 Volts, guaranteeing a nice does of headroom and outstanding dynamic response. Every Unobtanium pedal is built with care in Greece.
The Crazy Tube Circuits Unobtanium: Two Legends in One Pedal
The right-side of the Unobtanium houses a K-style overdrive circuit complete with matching germanium diodes. Via the wide-range gain control, the sound can be dialled up from a sweet, transparent boost to a tasty overdrive with plenty of headroom while two mini-switches can be flipped to stick the effect through a true or buffered bypass circuit or change-up the voicing via Stock or Mod mode. Over on the left side of the stompbox, you get your D-style amp-in-a-box flavoured overdrive, which can swing from a subtle clean boost to a singing overdrive. Tweak the Emphasis pot to set the presence and bass response and flip the single mini-switch between SSS mode to lay down some organic compression, and ODS mode which piles on the extra gain and harmonic overtones.
