The SC-14 is equipped with XLR as well as 1/4-inch jack inputs and outputs, so that you can select which connector you want to use. The gain ensures that you are in control over the level of the fed-through signal, while the clip indication informs you if there is too much signal output. The built-in phantom power supply ensures that this preamp can also be used with condenser microphones!
