The DAP Audio Stage Amp series consists of four amplifiers that all have a lightweight housing. They are no lightweights when it comes to durability, however: they are perfect for on-the-road use! Another advantage of the Stage Amp series is their stability: even at 20 ohms the amplifiers perform stably!
SMPS amplifier: lightweight and durable
The amplifiers from the Stage Amp series all contain a special power supply. This power supply is called SMPS, which stands for Switch Mode Power Supply. As it can switch at high speed between on and off, the SMPS is more efficient and more light of weight, which makes the amplifiers more lightweight, as well.
DAP Audio Stage Amp 2.6: up to 4,100 W of power
The DAP Audio Stage Amp 2.6 amplifier does not only offer stable operations, but a lot of power as well! It can produce up to 4,100 W of power, which is achieved at 4 ohms in bridged mode. In the same bridged mode you can also achieve 2,600 W at 8 ohms. Stereo mode can get you 2x 800 W at 8 ohms, which is just the right amount of power for most speakers.
