There are a lot of options if you are looking for lighting control. Your first preference might be a physical DMX controller, but these are often lacking in possibilities. DMX software offers a lot more possibilities. Daslight Virtual Controller (DVC) is a DMX software pack at an attractive price with a lot of possibilities.

The software
The DVC3 software is divided into three main screens: set-up, editor and live. In the set-up mode, you will be able to add the right armatures and give these a DMX address via a patch screen. Besides, you will be able to reverse the pan/tilt of moving heads and scanners, as well as setting advanced preferences for armatures.

Scenes are created in the editor mode where programs can be created per group. You can do this step-by-step or via the effect generator for controlling moves and RGB effects. These programs are displayed as buttons to which a trigger can be added via the keyboard or a MIDI controller.

DVC 3 128 interface
Daslight’s 128 interface is meant for users with a small budget that want to enjoy Daslight-quality. The 128 DMX channels are sufficient in PC as well as stand-alone mode, for small to medium lighting shows. The number of programs is limited to 30 of which 4 can be played at any one time. In the 6K stand-alone scenes can be saved so that you can also control your lighting without a PC or laptop.
