While the DiMarzio DP110 FS-1 technically hasn’t been designed as a vintage single-coil pickup, its intense sound is certainly cut out for blues, especially when it’s dropped in the bridge position of a Strat with a maple neck. Roughly 25% louder than a standard single-coil pickup, the DP110 FS-1 shapes thick, supple sound and can also be installed in the middle or neck position for bigger, more aggressive sound. Prefer something a little more tonally balanced? Then be sure to combine it with True Velvet pickups in the middle and neck position.
