The rough, deep gnarling tones of the eight-string LTD H-338 BLKS are sure to linger in the ears of your surprised metal audience. Thanks to two extra bass strings (B and F sharp) it is able to explore new depths in addition to the familiar tuning of the other six strings. These dark sounds deserve a look that is equally grim and comes in the form of an attractive, comfortably curved body with a satin-gloss black finish.
The mahogany H-338 BLKS
To ensure a proper amplification of the large number of strings, a duo of active humbuckers was fitted to the body of this guitar. These pickups generate a high output that is free of hum, resulting in an immensely neat sound. The mahogany graces this instrument with a very pleasant tone with a deep and full character. The Extra Jumbo frets cover two octaves on the LTD H-338 BLKS (Black Satin) and limit the contact between fingers and fretboard to a minimum, allowing for noticeably smoother bends.
