Treated to a handful of modern upgrades, the EVH 5150 Series Standard is based on the famous hockey-stick-headstock-style ST electric guitar that Eddie van Halen played throughout the ’80s. This versatile, redesigned classic features a smooth satin-gloss finish on the back of the Modified C-profile maple neck, and comes loaded with double the number of pickups its spiritual ancestor packed. This is the left-handed version.

The 5150 Series Standard: Impressive Sound

Mounted directly onto the lightweight poplar body and based on Alnico II magnets, the two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers shape a range of delicious double-coil sounds balanced by lush trebles. Next to a volume control, a tone pot and a standard-issue 3-way pickup switch, this Standard Series model features an orange killswitch for playful stutter effects, as well as a double-locking Floyd Rose tremolo to support more extreme dive-bomb effects and the D-Tuna system for quick drop-tunings.
