Pushing the specs through the roof, the limited edition Fazley Project P1 Flashback T electric guitar piles on the quality and comes decked out in a one-off, battle-worn finish. The T-style solid body has been carved from hand-selected alder before being dipped in high-gloss lacquer and hand-aged, giving this model its relic-style mojo. And, so this unique chopping board can be toted to rehearsals and gigs in full comfort, it comes pre-wrapped in a deluxe gig bag.

The Fazley Project P1 Flashback T: A Fat Foundation

Fazley have kitted out the Flashback T with two passive Alnico-based humbuckers that deliver thick, high-gain output and have been teamed up with a cheeky mini-switch that can be toggled to split the dual-coil pickups down the middle and unleash some single-coil-style sparkle. Meanwhile, a high-grade Wilkinson WOV05 two-point tremolo bridge supports subtle to wild whammy bar action, and as a sweet detail, the backplate of the tremolo cavity has been removed (or just lost to sands of time) completing a cool hotrod aesthetic.

A Roasted Maple Neck

Besides the hand-worn finish and pickup loadout and hardware, the playability of this guitar is just as on-spec. For a start, the neck has been made from roasted maple, which has been heated to remove moisture, resulting in more warp-resistant and stable, higher-density wood. The 12 inch radius is also flatter than your average T-style model and has been coupled with a set of twenty-two jumbo frets to lighten the load for your fret-hand and speed up playability. All of this results in a thoughtful gigging mate that looks, sounds and plays like its seen decades of action already.

Every Example is Unique

This Fazley guitar features a special ‘relic’ finish, which means it looks like it’s already seen decades of use. The manually applied signs of ‘wear and tear’ range from scuff marks on the body to specks of ‘corrosion’ on the hardware, and make sure that every example looks entirely different from the next. The relic’d finish is also the reason why the cover plate of the tremolo bridge is missing on the back. Fortunately, you can always add one if you want since the mounting holes are still there.
