General
Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready and Fender have teamed up to deliver a more-than-remarkable Strat. This Artist Series model doesn’t just capture the sound and intensity of the legendary rock band, but features an alder body and maple neck that have been specially coated using Road Worn nitrocellulose lacquer for a unique, artificially-aged look and feel, making it look like the guitar has already lived through countless sold-out shows. Fender even include a deluxe brown Fender case for safekeeping.
The Mike McCready Stratocaster: Authentic Vibes
The neck of this signature electric guitar is based on McCready’s beloved 1960 Stratocaster, which means you’re looking at a C-profile and a slab rosewood fretboard lined with medium vintage Jescar frets. The sound has been properly sorted too, since Fender have purpose-designed a set of Custom Mike McCready ’60s Single-Coil Strat pickups for the occasion. As well as a tremolo block made of cold rolled steel for enhanced resonance and sustain, this guitar has even been decked out with a Treble Bleed circuit so its sonic clarity is retained when you turn down the volume, finishing an axe that feels alive at all times.
