The Monterey Standard: Balanced Amplified Sound, Supple Playing Feel

Fender have equipped the Monterey Standard with a FE-A2 preamp, which not only comes with two controls and an undersaddle piezo pickup, but a built-in tuner so you’re always assured of spot-on sound when you’re up on stage. This California Series model has been dipped in satin-gloss lacquer and features a trusty C-profile and a relatively short 24.75-inch scale length for an immediately familiar, supple playing feel.
