The Saffire PRO 24 DSP by Focusrite is a new generation FireWire audio interface with 16 inputs, 8 outputs and DSP for the included plug-ins and playback settings. It’s a great interface at a moderate price.The DPS technology of the Saffire PRO 24 DSP is called VRM by Focusrite. VRM makes it possible to create more than a hundred monitor scenarios and to send them to your monitors or headphones without any delay. This allows you to listen to your mix by means of various monitor systems, including surround. VRM enables you to calibrate your monitors to your situation. Whether your monitors are in a living room, a bedroom, a home studio or a professional studio, VRM always provides the right settings for a perfect end mix. The Saffire PRO 24 DSP is equipped with two high-quality preamplifiers. It features two analogue inputs and six outputs, as well as an ADAT input. This means you have a total of 16 audio inputs.The Saffire PRO 24 DSP comes with a nice range of production software. Included are the latest version of Focusrite Plug-in Suite (which includes compression, reverb, EQ and gate VST/UA plug-ins), Ableton Live Lite, Xcite+ bundle, Novation’s Bass Station VSTi and more than 1 GB of Loopmasters samples.
