Description
General
Boasting the sound and construction of yester-when, the Gretsch G2420T Streamliner Hollowbody might as well have been built for modern guitarists with a chronic weakness for electric archtops with vibrato tailpieces. All the basic, faithful features are present, so this single-cut semi-acoustic has been furnished with a slim U-profile neck and a full set of twenty-two medium jumbo frets and, naturally, has been finished with the legend that is the Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece.
The Gretsch G2420T Streamliner: Tuning Stability & Tone
The anchored Adjust-o-Matic bridge combined with the nickel-finished tuning mechanics guarantee excellent tuning stability, the synthetic bone nut ensures faithful vibrational transfer and rich acoustic sound and, while the construction largely holds true to tradition, the pair of mounted Broad’Tron double-wound pickups firmly plant the Streamliner in the 21st Century. These high-output humbuckers deliver fat mids, tight basses and satisfying trebles that sparkle without ever getting shrill. Retaining their focus on pure playing pleasure, Gretsch has also kept the electronics as low-fuss and user-friendly as ever.
