The Guild Starfire VI Special: Comfy Design & Classic Hardware
The maple body has been topped with a comfortably arched soundboard while the three-piece maple neck has been shot through with a reinforcing maple stripe. This lays down an irresistibly balanced and sparkling sonic foundation which is rounded off by the bright overtones of the twenty-two fret deluxe ebony fretboard. The mounted Guild Tune-O-Matic bridge is also stabilised by an ebony base and has been anchored in the body to support a Guild Vibrato Tailpiece.
DeArmond Dynasonic Single-Coils
The pickup configuration is made up of two DeArmond Dynasonics that unleash lush, single-coil shimmer but with a touch more weight, and via the extensive tone controls, a broad array of tonal profiles can be dialled in – from classic and biting to big and airy. Since hollowbody models are notorious when it comes to feedback, a solid spruce centreblock has been set into the centre of the body to reign things in, completing a solid and reliable gigging mate.
