Feast your eyes on a great new solution for an old problem! Are you going to buy powered speakers, or a passive set with separate amplifiers? With the APL-12 module and (separately available) matching PL-12 speakers by JB Systems, you can actually switch between the two options, as this amp module can be mounted in your cabinet within minutes. The great advantage of the module is the digital amplification, which saves space and precludes the need for large components – this is why the module is quite compact and not too deep. Also, its light weight makes it highly manageable.
The APL 12 produces 190 watts at 8 ohms and 300 watts at 4 ohms. A lockable speaker output on the module lets you amplify two PL-12 cabinets, whereby the one is active and the other is amplified by the module from another PL cabinet. You can directly connect a microphone or instrument and line-in to the module, which is highly practical for clubs or solo artists who don’t require extensive mixers. Once you’ve set up the unit, it’s good to go!
All in all, this amp module is ideal if you want to make your PL-series speakers active and thus create a portable, manageable set with a variety of connector and setting options.
