The JHS Pedals Legends of Fuzz Series Mary K fuzz pedal is based on the almost mythical, deeply coveted Fuzz Tone built by Kay Musical Instruments in the late sixties. While designed as a more affordable version of Shin-ei/Univox’s Superfuzz, the Kay Fuzz Tone packed an entirely unique sound that’s loved by countless famed guitarists, including The Edge (U2). As soon as you plug this modern reissue in, it’ll be hard to imagine life without it. Also, the JHS Mary K comes with the same controls and ports as the original pedal, so expect mid-rich fuzz.
