The Studiophile AV40 MKII is a compact powered speaker set, equipped with modern M-Audio technology for optimal sound. They may be small in size, but they sound many times better than any multimedia sound set of the same size. This is made possible by the specific components that are used. These speakers are great for when you’re playing video games, watching movies or doing anything else of the sort. The Studiophile AV40 MKIIs construction The M-audio Studiophile AV40 MKII has a very impressive construction. The casing is made of MDF, which allows for a much more natural response compared to plastic multimedia speakers. The combination of 4-inch polypropylene-coated woofers and cooled 3/4-inch silk Ferro fluid dome tweeters deliver a balanced and detailed sound. The bass port at the back produces those extra lower bass tones. The Studiophile AV40 MKII is equipped with Optimage III wave-guide technology and an internal 20-watt amplifier. The inputs and outputs The M-audio Studiophile AV40 has an unbalanced RCA-input (2x RCA) as well as balanced jack-inputs (2x 6.35 mm TRS) at the back. Besides that you will find a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input at the front, which is ideal to connect your MP3 player to. Next to this is a 3.5mm headphone connector, that will ensure that if you connect your headphones, the sound of the speaker is muted.
