This four-piece Mapex Saturn IV shell set in Red Blue Hybrid Sparkle is ideal for any musical situation, both recording and live, in any genre. This drum set consists of hand-crafted 6-ply shells for the toms and an 8-ply shell for the bass drum, which are all made of North American maple and walnut. All over the world, the deep, rich sound that this kit produces is known as the Mapex sound. The Red Blue Hybrid Sparkle finish doesn’t just make this shell set look good, but adds a different visual effect, depending on how the light hits it.

This Saturn IV in Red Blue Hybrid is part of Mapex’ Maple Hybrid series and has a 22-inch bass drum, that is equipped with SONIClear bass drum claw hooks. These are fitted with a rubber lining that prevents them from rattling as you play, and also protects that beautiful finish. The 10 and 12-inch toms, and the 16-inch floor tom are built for speed: They’re fitted with Remo drumheads and have a very quick response. Ideal for playing fast fills! The toms have a short, clear tone, which leaves plenty of room for a rapid succession of notes. The SONIClear tom mounting system allows for greater resonance and keeps the vibrations contained in the shells and drumheads.
