Description
General
With the Neural DSP Quad Cortex, demanding guitarists and bassists are given full access to the best possible sound quality via one powerfully complex yet highly efficient and portable unit. The Quad Cortex is run by a total of six processor cores: four SHARC+ cores and two Cortex-A5 cores, which are responsible for handling a diverse array of tasks simultaneously. With all of that backing you up, you can do things like stack and use multiple amplifiers at the same time as well as multiple effects. With this floorboard-style hardware, you can even capture and make a digital model of your own valve amplifier using the Profiler, so you can take the sound of your amp into the studio or rehearsal room without having to carry it anywhere.
A Growing Network of Guitar and Bass Algorithms
Another astonishing feature of the Quad Cortex is the access to the Cortex Cloud: a network of user profiles and presets that’s only growing, meaning that the chance of stumbling across an emulation of that rare vintage amplifier you’ve wanted to try out for years that much greater. But the collection that comes with this modeller as standard is already highly impressive. Select or combine over fifty different amplifiers, over fifty effects and on top of that, fifty impulse responses. Everything is navigated with instinctive ease via the spacious 7 inch touchscreen: select your amplifier, your speaker cab, your EQ and then start digging into the effects, and all of this has somehow been crammed inside a sleek box that weighs less than two kilograms and is just under 30cm wide.
