General
The NUX MG-400 is a compact multi-effects pedal loaded with two powerful DSP chips for a host of options for electric guitarists, acoustic string-pickers and even bassists, including 25 guitar amp simulations, 25 guitar speaker cabinets, four microphones, three acoustic guitar IRs and a bass guitar amplifier that gives you the pick of eight bass speaker cabs. As if that wasn’t enough, more third-party IRs can be loaded in via the free downloadable software and the fitted USB port, which also serves to connect this NUX multi-effects pedal to a computer so it can be used as an audio interface for recording guitar or bass parts to your DAW of choice.
The MG-400: Ample Adjustable Settings and Sounds
Equipped with various controls and a clear, 2.8″ full-colour display, the MG-400 is easy to use. Aside from the built-in emulations, it sets you up with ample user slots, adjustable settings and various effects, including modulation, reverb and delay. The ten ‘signal blocks’ can be individually arranged and, when you frequently tweak the effects, the PARA. FOLLOW function will conveniently keep track of your habits. Want to assign the parameters of a certain effect to a pedal? That’s easy: simply use the built-in expression pedal.
