A solid little looper and drum machine in one, the NUX NDL-3 Hook pedal can be deployed to layer guitar parts and back them up with your drum loop of choice – all courtesy of a space-saving micro stompbox. The Hook comes pre-loaded with eleven different drum loops spanning an array of different genres and, with the help of the smart tap-tempo function, the BPM is easily tweaked. On the looper side of things, you can record for up to six minutes before engaging your custom loop and adding an infinite number of overdubs.

Both the Loop and Drum volume levels can be set via the two pots at the top of the control panel, while the central pot serves as your drum loop selector. To ensure minimal noise and super-low latency when looping and jamming, your guitar is treated to an analogue dry signal and, so this pedal can be kept fully up-to-date, it comes fitted with a USB port for loading in firmware updates. As a neat plus, the USB port can also be hooked up to a computer to import custom audio files and export your loops. With the Hook, you can even work in silence by plugging in a set of a headphones.
