Once again Pearl offers great value for money with this Pearl VML925S-C810 drum set. This mid-range drum set, aimed at the advanced player or the dedicated beginner, comes from the Vision Maple Lacquer series. That means the shells are made from maple wood, which is usually reserved for professional drum sets. It sounds dynamic, warm and rich and it suits just about any musical style you could think of.
The versatile VML 925S C810
This Studio-variant consists of a 22-inch kick drum (with pedal), a 14-inch snare, 10 and 12-inch toms and a 16-inch floor tom. That falls in between the Standard and Fusion types, so it’s a nice compromise between living room and stage sizes. It has two-ply batter heads – a professional feature that guarantees a deep and powerful sound. Plus, the shells have a beautiful black/grey Ash Fade Tamo finish and chrome hardware.
Fast, reliable and flexible
As expected, Pearl also included a set of very reliable stands with the drum set. The four easily and infinitely adjustable stands from the 900 series of hardware offer durability and stability, thanks to the double-braced legs with rubber feet. The toms – that you can set-up almost any way you want – are a breeze to mount thanks to Pearl’s tried-and-true I.S.S. mounts.
