This Reloop table top CD player sets the standard for MP3-compatible CD players. The RMP1 offers all important functions in a Pioneer-like design. This design has been reduced to include only the most essential mixing functions, making it the ideal table top CD player. This player might be small, but iyou won’t find ayhting lacking. For instance, this MP3-compatible player is equipped with a DSP scratch simulator that you can control with the large touch-sensitive, two-part jog wheel. You can monitor your actions by means of the clearly lit display.
Scratching and Looping You can activate the Scratch function by pressing the Scratch button. With the outer edge of the jog wheel you can search, push start and slow down the track. With the inner part of the jog wheel you can start the sound synthesis of the scratching. This Reloop CD player is also able to scratch from a pre-set point in the music (Cue-point). When this Scratch-to-Cue function is activated, you will only have to touch the jog wheel and the player will go to the cue point. You can fix cues in the tracks by means of the Cue button and the Loop In button. The player will automatically return to these cues. You can also make a Loop with the Loop In button and end it with the Loop Out button. If you activate this button, the RMP-1 will replay the loop continuously until you press the Loop Out button again. With the Reloop fuction, the player will return to the last stored Loop.
Pitching and Sampling The RMP-1 Scratch MK2 has an extra large pitch-fader with a pitch range of +/- 4%, 8%, 16% or 100%. You can adjust the pitch and playing speed of the tracks, either in a subtle or a radical manner. Should you want to alter the rate but not the pitch of the track, you can press the Key-lock button. This tabletop player has four cue/sample banks in which you can store four hotcues or four loops with a maximum of five seconds. You can even set hotcues for 500 CDs by use of the memory button. This way, you won’t have to reset the hotcues again and again. You will only have to do it once and the player will recognise the CD and will assign the cues and optional loops to the sample bank buttons.
