Developed with the help of Glenn Fricker, the Revv Northern Mauler is a monster of a pedal that combines the dual force of a newly-designed high-gain circuit with that legendary Swedish chainsaw-style sound. Twist the Blend pot to mash both circuits together or fully open up and isolate either circuit as preferred and rip open a massive range of possible distortions, each with their own character. The Revv Northern Mauler has been built in Canada, is fully analogue and true-bypass.

The Revv Northern Mauler: Aggressive Metal Sound

The boutique high-gain circuit that takes up one half of the Revv stompbox is directly inspired by that American metalcore sound. The other half is taken up by Revv’s own faithful tribute to the icon that is the HM-2. It’s already pretty clear that this pedal has been designed to do some heavy lifting, whether set up to serve as the distortion for your clean channel, as a hefty booster for a high-gain valve amplifier, or when directly hooked up to the power amp section, or even an audio interface via IRs.
