RME Babyface USB audio interface

General
The Babyface – RME’s first compact audio interface – may be small in size, but certainly delivers the goods. It provides you with twenty-two channels of 192kHz audio, and features an instrument input as well as an internal microphone preamplifier with a 48V phantom power supply.

To keep the Babyface as compact as possible, RME fitted the interface with a breakout cable with two balanced XLR audio inputs, two balanced audio outputs and a MIDI I/O. The audio interface itself is fitted with a Hi-Z instrument input, a stereo headphone output and an optical ADAT or S/PDIF input/output.

Like its bigger counterparts, the Babyface comes with TotalMix software, which gives you a fully virtual digital DSP mixer, a three-band equalizer, several effects and comprehensive routing options. A quick USB 2.0 port is included as well, and the interface is compatible with both PC and Mac.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the RME Babyface is suitable for rehearsal spaces as well as studio and stage applications. Bands, DJs and live acts looking for a compact USB sound card – take note!
