This PG48-QTR dynamic vocal microphone is a part of Shure’s PG budget series. This microphone is ideal for beginner musicians and amateur singers that are looking for Shure quality at an attractive price. It has a steel grille with an internal pop filter. This QTR-edition (quarter inch) is delivered with a 4.57-metre long XLR cable with a 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) jack plug. It comes with a microphone clip, a 5/8 to 3/8-inch adapter and a handy storage sleeve.
Characteristics of the Shure PG48-QTRThe Shure PG48-QTR has a frequency range of 70 to 15,000 Hz and a cardioid pickup pattern. This means that most of the sound at the front and a little from the sides is picked up. This makes it less sensitive to feedback at higher volumes. This makes the Shure PG48-QTR perfectly suited for speech applications and karaoke. Thanks to the Neodymium magnet of the cartridge, a high output level is achieved without distortion. All this technology is encased in a durable metal housing with an on/off switch for optimal control on stage.
