Description
General
While it keeps things affordable, the Sire Larry Carlton T3 still manages to serve up warm TE-style sound plus modern comfort and playability. This throwback six-string boasts a full and lush sonic base, while the C-profile maple neck and rounded-off edges of the Edgeless rosewood fretboard give the fret-hand a smooth and light ride all the way up to the highest of twenty-two medium-jumbo, 2.7-millimetre-high frets.
The Sire Larry Carlton T3: TE-Style Bite with a Warm, Woody Foundation
The neck has been bolted onto a classic TE-style mahogany body, which lays down that naturally warm and woody foundation sound – a standard feature of classic single and double-cut models. But here, forceful and fierce amplified sound is voiced by a pair of Standard-T single-coils, which pack tasty, pointed bite as well as lush definition. Backed up by a solid Standard-T bridge, a set of six-in-line machine heads and a real bone nut, the tuning stability and resonance of the T3 is also brought bang up-to-date.
