Steinberg’s UR22 USB audio interface is a simple, but powerful tool to create studio recordings and control studio monitors with. As we are used from Steinberg, this interface has a neat look and it is equipped with practical extras like peak limiters and a built-in phantom power supply for the inputs (handy for condenser microphones). The interface is completely USB-powered and therefore also fit for mobile high-grade recordings.Characteristics of the UR22 USB audio interfaceThe UR22 interface is a compact desktop interface that is especially well suited for home studios. Thanks to its compact size, it can easily be positioned on your desk without it getting in the way. The interface is compatible with PC and Mac computers. Beside its audio inputs and outputs, the UR22 also has a MIDI input and output on board. The two D-Pre preamps ensure that the signal stays in perfect condition. Real-time monitoring of incoming signals can be done via the Mix button.Connectors of the UR22Besides the inputs at the front, fit for microphone, line and instrument use, there are two outputs for studio monitors at the back. The front is equipped with Neutrik XLR/jack combo connectors, the line outputs are 6.35mm balanced jack connectors. At the back there is a switch to switch the phantom power for condenser microphones on and off. You can lock the interface with the built-in Kensington lock.
