Description
General
Takamine has expanded its improved G-Series of acoustic guitars with some stunning classical models and, while it is the most affordable member of the G-Series, the Takamine GC1-NAT classical guitar still boasts the full and balanced sound of a mahogany body and spruce soundboard, making it the ideal instrument for beginners and hobbyists on a limited budget. This is the left-handed edition.
The Takamine GC1LH-NAT: Full & Balanced Sound
The build of the GC1 features a specially selected spruce soundboard supported by traditional fan-shaped bracing while the mahogany sides and the back complete the body to ensure plenty of projection while the mahogany neck has been topped with a nineteen-fret laurel fretboard that adds a touch of warmth to the overall tone. The entire guitar has been dipped in a transparent high-gloss lacquer that puts the natural wood grain on full display and, to support maximum playing comfort, the two-inch wide nut gives the fingers of both the fret and playing hand plenty of space.
Sensitive Details
Despite the low price, this classical guitar features some deluxe detailing including a rosewood headstock veneer and a set of chrome-plated machine heads fitted with pearloid pegs. Both the nut and bridge saddle have been made from synthetic bone to ensure lush vibrational transfer and the neck has been set into the body via traditional dovetail join to improve both stability tone. To finish, the soundhole rosette has been given a mosaic design made up of intricate wooden inlays.
