Description
General
Takamine have packed each of the models included in the G50 Series all of their luxurious hallmarks, build-quality and sound while somehow managing to keep them relatively inexpensive. As such, the GN51CE-NAT is a solid-top electro-acoustic finished with a deep and graceful cutaway to support supreme playing comfort and rich tone, whether it’s plugged into an acoustic amplifier or not. This instrument has been designed for any serious left-handed beginner that’s already itching to perform or get into the studio.
The Takamine GN51CE: Build-Quality & Finish
Part of the Takamine G-Series, the GN51CE is a NEX shaped steel-string guitar has a rounded silhouette and slimmer-than-average waist. Despite the tighter dimensions, this guitar still packs the depth of sound you’d expect from a dreadnought. Perfect for strumming techniques as well as finger-picking, the rosewood resonance box and spruce top give this instrument a rich and balanced tonality while the cream-coloured bindings and abalone pearl sound-hole rosette add aesthetic elegance.
TP-4TD Preamp with Built-In Tuner
The stage-ready GN51CE comes fitted with a Takamine TP-4TD preamp with adjustable volume and three-band ‘shelving’ EQ controls split into Bass, Middle and Treble so you can accurately dial in the amplified sound. The preamp panel also features an auto-chromatic tuner complete with LED display, and the whole thing runs on a single 9V battery that’s clipped seamlessly into a fitted compartment in the body and has its own status LED so you know when to slot in a fresh battery.
