Description

General
Fitted out with surgical mid-frequency boost/cut controls, the Thorn Soundlabs Black Swamp has every right to call itself a Flex Fuzz. Next to the standard-issue Volume, Gain and Bass, Mid, Treble EQ control pots, this stompbox also supplies a specialised Damping pot that directly tightens up the lower frequencies, which doesn’t just result in increased punch and presence, but hands you maximum control over your fuzz sound. While this pedal can run on a standard 9 Volt power supply, if you want some extra headroom, it can also be hooked up to an 18 Volt supply.

The Thorn Soundlabs Black Swamp: The Extras

Pushing out the fuzz-coated boat, the Thorn team has polished off the Black Swamp with some extra sound-shaping options, including a three way Character switch that can be flipped into Smooth, Normal or Hot mode as preferred, while the Hard Clip I/O switch gives the option of soft or hard clipping and supports a full spectrum of fuzz flavours. Dial in everything from a subtle edge-of-breakup style fuzz to all out doom fuzz and do it all with the help of one wee box.
