Universal Audio have pulled it off again. Inside the Galaxy ’74 Tape Echo & Reverb, you’ll find a perfect emulation of the best-selling, Japanese-built Echo/Delay/Spring Reverb that made the seventies possible. The much applauded and respected UAFX dual-engine processor inside this tight box not only delivers the lush and organic sound that you could only get from a multi-head tape delay from the golden age, but takes things even further than the original. Team this pedal up with the UAFX Control App and your effects can be tweaked in real-time and, just like all of the other UAFX Series stompboxes, the Galaxy ’74 comes set up for Bluetooth V5, so calling up settings, installing updates and editing profiles all happens in the blink of your sweet little eye.
Dual Engine Processing for Immense Stereo Effects
The powerful dual-engine processing also helps shape big and spacious stereo effects, laying some fertile ground for experimentation, which is the beauty of a lot of these smart UAFX offerings. Navigate three-dimensional soundscapes and build a sonic cosmos populated by nothing more than you and your guitar. The front panel supplies quick access to the controls, where features like the Dwell pot can be pushed to pull way wilder sounds out of the virtual Spring Reverb ‘tank’ than the original models on ever could. Via the macOS, Windows, iOS and Android compatible app, the physical footswitches can also be adjusted and unique oscillation sounds can be sculpted at will to fully customise the response of this progressive little unit.
