Vestax’s PDX-3000 MK2 is the successor to their PDX-3000 and has a number of notable improvements. Naturally, this later version still features Vestax’s ASTS (Anti Skipping Tone arm System), which ensures stable operation as well as a high sound quality. The Direct Drive DC motor received an upgrade as opposed to the previous version so that it’ll always keep spinning, regardless what happens to the platter. The platter itself is also improved to allow for a better balance between weight and rotating power. A final improvement is the addition of air pockets inside the rubber feet to ensure better absorption of low frequencies. All the upgrades combined with the already great features of the PDX-3000 makes the MK2 to take the lead from the SL1200 and other familiar OEM turntables regarding functionality and ease of use.
