Is it possible to improve perfection? It seems unlikely, but somehow, Vestax has managed to upgrade – and therefore improve – their PMC-05 Pro battle mixer. In addition to a brand-new all-red finish, the popular battle mixer boasts high-quality components like faders, a crossfader and knobs – and quite a few of them, at that!
The PMC-05 Pro 4 has two channels, plus an aux channel. Each channel features a three-band equalizer; even the aux channel has its own three-band tone control. With this fourth incarnation of the 05, channel sources are fully assignable, which means you can also plug in your turntables. The aux input, meanwhile, is suitable for a microphone signal as well as an additional line signal.
The PMC-5 is equipped with two master outputs, one of which has balanced XLR connectors, and a booth output, so you’re always able to check what your audience is hearing. Of course Vestax hasn’t forgotten the headphone output either. Each of the faders of this fourth version of the PMC-05 has an individually adjustable fader curve – that means the channel faders as well as the crossfader. As such, your Vestax mixer can be fully adjusted to your own personal preferences, for an optimal DJing experience.
