Description
General
The Vintage Joe Doe semi-acoustic chancer might be dubbed the Gambler, but this TE-style six-string is a safe and solid bet. This singular thinline model comes pre-wrapped in a deluxe case complete with a custom sticker pack and a Certificate of Authenticity, so you know exactly what you’re getting. Cheeky by design, the top of the chambered American alder body has been punched through with an arrow shaped f-hole that points at a mounted Las Vegas poker chip. Rub it for luck, because you just might need it.
The Vintage Joe Doe Gambler: The Royal Flush
This unique Vintage offering never misses a trick thanks to the Wilkinson-made two-pup load-out and thoughtfully placed tone and volume pots and three way switch. The bridge position is taken up by a lipstick-style WOVTB single-coil that delivers classic country-flavoured twang and combines with the WOVTN single-coil at the bridge to complete a level of sonic clarity that’s never in danger of getting too shrill. And, to finish things in style, the Gambler comes kitted out with a vintage-correct WTB bridge and a modern GraphTech nut to firm up both the tuning stability and intonation and leave nothing to chance.
