The VOX HDC-99 Sunburst belongs to the cream of the VOX crop. VOX’s 99-series of electric guitars features semi-hollow bodies with sound holes, making them the very first round, deep-sounding semi-acoustic instruments. These guitars also features the same incredibly versatile CoAxe pickups that you’ll find in the 77 series, but with a more vintage sound. Of course you can switch – per pickup – between single coil, P90 and humbucker for a wide variety of sounds. Furthermore, the HDC-99 has an ebony fretboard for an audibly more direct sound.
