The Yamaha Tenori-on sequencer is comprised of sixteen rows and sixteen columns that form a matrix of 256 LED lights. The principle is simple: the user presses an LED light on the touch screen, and each LED light represents a different instrument. A line goes from left to right following a pre-chosen rhythm, and when it reaches an active LED light the instrument linked to that button plays, just like on a regular sequencer.
The compact form makes it super handy so producers and musicians can take it everywhere with them. And thanks to the clean yet unique design, you’ll get plenty of attention.
The Yamaha Tenori-on has an entire series of standard instruments available for you to use in creating complex musical pieces, but if that’s not enough for you, you can always keep your new instrument upgraded with the newest instruments with an SD card. You can also connect your Tenori-on with that of your friend or colleague so the two sequencers can work some real live music magic together.
