Japanese manufacturer Zoom – famous for its mobile recorders – has developed a custom stereo microphone for Apple devices with a Lightning connector. The Zoom iQ5 is quite compact and its Lightning connector allows you to make high-quality stereo recordings wherever you are, using your iPhone 5, iPad 4 or iPad Mini, for instance. Thanks to a rotatable microphone capsule, your Apple device always properly registers the sound source, whether you hold it vertically or horizontally.

This black edition of the Zoom iQ5 records audio at the familiar 44.1kHz/16-bit resolution. It features a built-in limiter and allows you to adjust both gain and stereo width.
